July’s Michael’s Market Meet-Up

Our Michael’s Market Meet-Ups in Santa Monica are local, farm-to-table shopping-and-eating celebrations at their finest. One Wednesday morning a month, guests gather mid-morning at our restaurant for hot coffee and fresh-baked cinnamon rolls. Then, led by Michael McCarty himself and executive chef John-Carlos Kuramoto, they stroll half a block south along Third Street and across Wilshire Boulevard to the bustling, widely renowned Santa Monica Farmers’ Market. We’ve been buying our fresh, seasonal, local produce there and carting it back to our kitchen for years. Along the way, Michael explains his food philosophy, shows how to buy the best seasonal produce from the market, shares recipe tips, and introduces guests to top local growers. Then, we head back to the restaurant for the freshest seasonal lunch ever, accompanied by wine selections from Michael’s justly respected cellar. Enjoy these gorgeous pics from our latest outing.
