Meet Our New Pastry Chef, Diane

We are thrilled to introduce you to our new New York pastry chef, Diane Carrasquillo.  She is pedigreed (graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY with a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Baking and Pastry Management) and inventive.  While pursing her studies she worked at Zoe Restaurant in Soho as well as a few smaller restaurants in upstate New York.  After graduation she worked at the River Café in Brooklyn, NY where she worked on plated presentations of desserts.  Her other experiences include the Cake Gallery of North Bellmore and Martin-Scott Wines Ltd.  She Joined the Michael’s team in 2011.

Chef Carrasquillo is a Brooklyn born native who has always had a passion for great desserts to eat and share.  Growing up she was always hunting for that perfect recipe to make for friends and family.  Now she has the opportunity to share her creations with the public.  Her motto is “A meal is never complete until you have dessert”.  Funny, we totally agree.  Enjoy her Autumnal pastry menu in our New York restaurant now.  Sweet.
