New Huffington Post “Meal Period” Blog

Big Mike, hard at work!

Michael McCarty has written another mouthwatering blog for the Huffington Post. Entitled Steaks and the City, it describes an incredible meal he and his wife Kim hosted and cooked at their midtown-Manhattan apartment. With the help of their daughter Clancy, the McCartys threw together an impromptu dinner for friends.

So what did they eat?  Everything!  Eli’s bread, slathered with butter and garlic. Goat brie and Saint Augur blue from Ernest Klein & Company in Midtown. Wild line-caught striped bass cooked on the grill along with 28-day dry-aged Debragga and Spitler New York strip steaks. Roasted fingerlings and Kim’s world-famous green salad.  And for dessert, Häagen-Dazs, chopped walnuts, and Hershey’s chocolate sauce, in true Michael’s-style.

They drank, too!  Prosecco, Kistler Chardonnay, and the world-famous 2007 Pinot Noir from The Malibu Vineyard.

Another fabulous party!  Great food. Even greater company!
