Transforming Michael’s Santa Monica!

October 24, 2012

Everything inside Michael’s Santa Monica is dramatically new!

We’ve had a makeover at Michael’s Santa Monica. And it wasn’t just a little touch-up. We’ve transformed everything to better serve our guests. We’ve reconfigured and relandscaped our garden dining patio. We’ve added beautiful new plates, cutlery, and glassware. Kim McCarty has curated a brilliant new display of contemporary California art. We’ve expanded our bar into a state-of-the-art power bar highlighting Jason Robey’s farm-to-glass cocktails, plus craft beers and outstanding wines by the glass. And executive chef John-Carlos Kuramoto and his kitchen team have completely reimagined the menu, combining a selection of Michael’s classics with an expansive new range of smartly priced dishes including pizzas (from our new pizza oven), pastas, a raw bar, vegan specialties, fresh produce from the Santa Monica Farmers’ market, and many great sharable plates.

“We have reinvented Michael’s into a more approachable American-Californian brasserie, to reflect the way people are dining today,” says Michael McCarty. “We appreciate the support of all of our valued guests over the past 33 years and will continue our world-renowned reputation for farm-to-table, impeccably cooked new American food, now in a warmer and more inviting atmosphere designed to match our new expanded menu.”

We are so excited for this renovation transformation process and looking forward to serving you in our redesigned space from our new menu. Check out the wonderful options on the copy we’re posting here. Then, come on in now to give it a try!
