Picture Ode to the Santa Monica Farmers’ Market

October 19, 2012

You know how much we love the farmers’ market in Santa Monica, right? For more than a decade, we’ve been walking down Third Street and across Wilshire Blvd. to the beautiful collection of farm stands that gather so close by our restaurant, and then carting back fresh produce and other gorgeous artisanal ingredients. To celebrate our enduring connection to so many wonderful local producers, and the impact that connection has on our menu, we offer this photo album highlighting some of the glories of the Santa Monica Farmers’ Market.

Torpedo onions and earthy heirloom carrots make beautiful companions.

Pumpkins and gourds and other winter squashes, oh my!

Still more carrots in a bright variety of colors.

Don’t you love the color palette?

Weiser Family Farms, one of our absolute favorite sources!

Eggplants in solid deep purple and bright white-and-lavender stripes.

Asian pears in golden light.
