Our NYC Kitchen As It Preps for Lunch Service

October 12, 2012

There’s nothing more fascinating than an invitation into the kitchen, to see how it all goes down.  The kitchen at Michael’s New York, headed by executive chef Kyung Up Lim, runs like a well-oiled machine  Everybody runs their stations, executing dish after dish perfectly. This visit highlighted the chefs as they prepared for lunch service. It’s a treat to watch them develop the flavors that will soon blossom into beautiful plates. Enjoy these behind-the-scenes pics of our NYC kitchen before the lunch crowd descends:

Fried basil leaves for a super-special garnish.

Savory chicken stock coming together with fresh cloves of garlic and rosemary.

Butter pats awaiting delivery alongside hot, freshly baked rolls.

Couldn’t resist adding these pic of sheep, dutifully welcoming guests at the front of the house.

Spinach!
