Harry’s Berries, from the renowned family-owned farm in Oxnard and a highlight of the Santa Monica Farmers’ Market, star in this incredible dessert, our version of a meringue-based extravaganza first created in the mid-1920s as a tribute to the great Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova—and long considered the national dessert of both Australia and New Zealand. For the creation from the kitchen of Michael’s Santa Monica, we top the meringe with our delicious seasonal strawberry sorbet and add a bed of thick, rich, subtly sweetened whipped cream. It’s the ultimate summer dessert, light, cool, refreshing, and a perfect finish to any meal (even brunch!) enjoyed in our beautiful garden patio.
